When I was younger, I had one overarching dream, one driving passion: to be a drummer of a heavy metal/thrash band and touring the world. For me, it was not a matter of if it would happen, but when. Accompanying this passion was a sinful, self-indulgent lifestyle, and my writing and outlook were very dark. I was traveling on a downward spiral.

When I was in my latter teens, God entered my darkness with His love and truth. Let me be very clear, when I refer to God, I mean the triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) of the Holy Bible, the Maker of the heavens and the earth. I came to understand in a personal way that Jesus (the Son) died for my sins and was raised from the dead, and eternal life was to be mine by trusting in Him.

God put within me a desire for the Scriptures (the Bible) and an interest in theology. My desire for drumming was replaced with the desire for people to know God’s love and truth. I would eventually go to Bible college to earn a Bachelor’s degree in ministry, then to seminary to earn a Master’s degree in discipleship and spiritual formation. I would be a senior pastor of a church, then later a youth pastor. I presently work a regular job and do a lot of writing.

Throughout the years I have come to experience various hurts, betrayals, rejection, abandonment, loss, and eventually clinical depression. What I have found constant in the midst of life’s up-and-downs are God and His unchanging truth.

We are living in dangerous times in which people want to try to change God or eliminate Him altogether. Many claim His Word is subjective, as though His message and gospel changes with the times. Hence, the purpose of this website. My simplistic desire is to direct persons to Christ and His unchanging Word. Our opinions and feelings are irrelevant. What truly matters is His truth. If we do not have truth, then we are left with falsehood and illusions. If we do not have light, then we are left with darkness.

I hope this website may be both encouraging and thought-provoking to you. Whether you agree with my views is of no concern, but that you may be spurned to be diligent in reading God’s Word, hearing from Him and knowing Him in Christ.

May God bless you richly with His presence and revelation of Himself.

In Christ’s service,
